Moving Donors to ParishSOFT
Getting your parishioners to enroll for ParishSOFT Giving right away will help your parish retain existing donations and ensure continuity of your scheduled gifts. You have a limited amount of time to transition your online donors before ending use of your legacy online giving system. We’d like to help by offering some resources your parish can use to make sure parishioners successfully move over to ParishSOFTGiving.
Moving Donors Checklist
We have created a handy checklist with everything you need to move your donors from your Legacy System to ParishSOFT Giving.

Notifying Donors
- Make an announcement to the parish.
Let them know a new system is in place. We highly recommend utilizing the resources available in the ParishSOFT Giving system. Have Father make an announcement at mass or a large parish-wide event. When making an announcement, include the link to the new system and an end date for the Legacy System. - Send a letter or email to parishioners and donors.
Use the letter/email template provided above to contact parishioners and donors directly. Please be sure to include the link to the new system. If sending an email, you can put the moving donor form on your website, and provide a direct link to it. - Remind parishioners to set-up new donations and scheduled gifts.
After the initial announcement, follow up with parishioners who have created a new donor profile. Thank them for making the switch and ensure they know how to set up their gifts. For those who have not signed up yet, make another announcement at mass, noting how many people have signed up and of the deadline to move to the new system. - Keep your parishioners engaged with online giving.
Once your parish has moved over to ParishSOFT Giving, review our ParishSOFT Giving marketing kit to communicate the many benefits and convenience of online giving.
