Catch the Wave: Building an Engaged Church
Surfing is far from a passive experience. It requires complete engagement of mind and body to attempt to get up on a wave and ride it into shore. Your reward for all the hard work is an exhilarating experience - a thrill ride that only nature can provide! Yet many who come to the beach never venture into the water. They don't even wade, let alone surf.
A parallel can be made with serving God and becoming engaged in the life of the church. Many sit in the pews as if under a beach umbrella, soaking up the environment and observing the few who lead and serve. As church leaders, it is both our opportunity and our responsibility to build the wave of engagement! We must passionately model a life of service and then invite others to get "on board."
The mission of ParishSOFT is to see people connected to the church and her Lord, Jesus Christ. That's why we create products that help people catch the wave of what God is doing in and through His church in the 21st century.
