Diocesan System Administrator Essentials Training

The course covers administration of your ParishSOFT system at the diocesan level and provides a detailed look at the underlying structure of the ParishSOFT diocesan application.  Instructors are ParishSOFT experts in our diocesan database applications, software and integrated product development and support.

*Attendees provide their own laptops.
Onsite training in the diocesan program suite is a prerequisite.

  • Server setup for ParishSOFT applications, including installation, server configuration, SQL job setup, virtual directory security setup, Web service extension and internet security settings needed for ParishSOFT functionality
  • Basic SQL database structures and AIM IQ, with a look at the AIM database network architecture, relationships and differences between parish and diocesan data, SQL queries, backups, recovery, and security administration
  • Parish synchronization management, with an overview of the architecture, synchronization process, and system tables; log files; troubleshooting; and error handling
  • Desktop application management, including updates and troubleshooting of the parish and diocesan products
  • Software update installation and management and server updates
  • Overview of diocesan support services
