ParishSOFT to Offer Diocesan System Administrator Essentials Class Following Users' Conference in St. Petersburg, FL

Ann Arbor, MI—ParishSOFT will offer a special Diocesan System Administrator Essentials training course to be held Wednesday November 10 and Thursday November 11, 2010, at the Hilton Bayfront in St. Petersburg, FL.
The advanced-level training is open to all system administrators who have completed onsite training in the ParishSOFT diocesan suite of desktop applications, and the November 10-11 class offers diocesan staff a significant 50% savings off the standard registration fee of $1,000.

Agenda topics for the Diocesan System Administrator Essentials course include:
- Server setup for ParishSOFT applications, including installation, server configuration, SQL job setup, virtual directory security setup, Web service extension and internet security settings needed for ParishSOFT functionality
- Parish synchronization management, with an overview of the architecture, synchronization process, and system tables; log files; troubleshooting; and error handling
- Desktop application management, including updates and troubleshooting of the parish and diocesan products
- Software update installation and management and server updates
- Basic SQL database structures, with a look at the AIM database network architecture, relationships and differences between parish and diocesan data, SQL queries, backups, recovery, and security administration
