New Feature to Run EOY Statements in Less Time!

Just Released December 21, 2005!

The time for End-of-Year Statements is just around the corner, and ParishSOFT has created a new behind-the-scenes feature to greatly speed up the process of running those End-of-Year Contribution Statements. Best of all, the updated Annual Contribution Statements screen is very similar to the previous screen, which you are familiar with if you've run these reports in the past.

Install this new behind-the-scenes feature to run your EOY Contribution Statements in less time! Choose the option below that applies to you and follow the appropriate instructions:

Option 1: You are using version 3.3. Follow Instructions A.
(See below to determine which version you are using.)
Option 2: You are using version 3.4. Follow Instructions B.
(See below to determine which version you are using.)
Option 3: You are using version 3.5. Follow Instructions C.
(See below to determine which version you are using.)

 

HOW TO TELL WHICH VERSION YOU ARE USING:

• Click About from the top menu of any ParishSOFT module.

Instructions A (Use for Version 3.3)

To Download the Update: product updates
  1. Open your Family Directory Module and select File > Product Updates.
  2. Scroll down the page and click on ContribReportsv33.ex_.
  3. Follow the instructions to save this file on your desktop.
  4. Rename the file ContribReportsv33.exe.
  5. Go to your desktop and double-click ContribReportsv33.exe.
  6. Click Unzip. The files will install automatically in the proper location.
To Run the Program:
  1. Start and login to any ParishSOFT module.
  2. Double-click one of the files below:

  • Select ContribReports2000.mdb if you use Access 2000 or higher
    •     OR
  • Select ContribReports.mdb if you use Access 97.

  1. Note the updated Annual Contribution Statements screen is similar to the previous version, except for the new Records field that displays the total number of families in your database with current year contributions.
  2. Proceed to run your EOY Contribution Statements.
NOTE: It may take a few minutes for your information to be initially downloaded to your local PC.  
 

Instructions B (Use for Version 3.4)

To Download the Update: product updates
    1. Open your Family Directory Module and select File > Product Updates.
    2. Scroll down the page and click on ContribReportsv34.ex_.
    3. Follow the instructions to save this file on your desktop.
    4. Rename the file ContribReportsv34.exe.
    5. Go to your desktop and double-click ContribReportsv34.exe.
    6. Click Unzip. The files will install automatically in the proper location.
    To Run the Program:
    1. Start and login to any ParishSOFT module.
    2. Double-click one of the files below:
    records

    • Select ContribReports2000.mdb if you use Access 2000 or higher
      •     OR
    • Select ContribReports.mdb if you use Access 97.

    Instructions C (Use for Version 3.5)

    Before downloading, please backup your PSReports2000.mdb file. This file is generally located in c:/Program Files/Parishsoft/.

    To Download the Update: product updates
      1. Open your Family Directory Module and select File > Product Updates.
      2. Scroll down the page and click on PSReportsV35.ex_.
      3. Follow the instructions to save this file on your desktop.
      4. Rename the file PSReportsV35.exe.
      5. Go to your desktop and double-click PSReportsV35.exe.
      6. Click Unzip. The files will install automatically in the proper location.
      To Run the Program:

      1. Open your main Reports Menu, click Contribution Reports Menu > EOY Contrib Statement for Families.
      2. Click the red button displayed on the left.
      3. Wait a few moments for the data to load.
      NOTE: This new behind-the-scenes feature extracts financial data from your ParishSOFT files and stores it in your local PC to be used only for End-of-Year statements. This process will greatly speed up the time it takes to run statements.
